Since New York has two airports, LaGuardia and JFK , a professional airline employee would make sure to announce the correct airport, especially in a multi-airport metro area like New York.

Many of the actors who played members of the extended McCallister cousins reprise their earlier roles from Kevin - Allein zu Haus with a few notable exceptions. When the camera is moving towards Marv like the bag of cement would, the falling rope is not visible in front of Marv like in the previous shot. One of the few times in the Home Alone series, were someone is seen using a gun. Not only is this very dark, but is a surprise for what is A family film, and a lot of the reason this sequel is considered much darker then it's predecessor.
Finally, when Kevin first throws the pipe, the angle that it swings it implies a short rope, meaning that the pipe would have started moving backwards. When Kevin goes swimming at the Plaza, it is a different hotel. The Plaza doesn't have a pool. It would had taken a lot longer than that. When Kevin lights the rope on fire, he turns to run away and a crew member is visible through the window.

When Kevin is in the park with the pigeon woman, he asks her if she interested in joining him in a cup of hot chocolate, which he offers to buy and treat her to. The Concierge back at the Plaza Hotel took not only his Dad's credit card, but also the envelope of cash. So how could Kevin buy the pigeon lady and himself a cup of hot chocolate? Although Kevin could also have had cash in another one of his coat pockets or cash in his pants pocket that the concierge didn't take.
Director Chris Columbus studied 1930s and 1940s film noir to make the "Angels with Even Filthier Souls" scenes more authentic. Duncan's Toy Chest, the toy store featured in the film, is fictitious and was named after executive producer Duncan Henderson. It is loosely based on the flagship F.A.O. Schwarz toy store in Manhattan, New York.
Kevin clearly did not think it through on how he was going to get away with the lie his dad was also at the hotel. The hotel staff would find out at the end of his stay that he had lied to them and committed credit card fraud. Plus, Mrs. Stone told Kevin his dad would need to sign a few things, so even if Kevin got away with it the police would be informed. This movie borrowed a few ideas from the first movie. In fact, John Hughes and Chris Columbus admitted that this movie was really more of a remake of the previous movie, despite being released only two years after the first one.

When Kevin throws the bricks from the rooftop at Marvin and Harry they bounce off Marvin's face and go off camera to the left. When Harry and Marvin get up to go after Kevin suddenly the 3 bricks Kevin threw at them are now in the street a few feet away. The bag of stolen money changes moves between shots when Marv is getting hit by the bricks. In a long shot of the house the morning the family leaves, there is no bronze statue near the front doorsteps. But when the vans arrive, the second one hits the bronze statue near the doorsteps, which was not there in the previous shot.
In the original movie, a calendar can be seen in the McCallister kitchen for December 1990. In Home Alone 2, the concierge reveals a card showing that Kevin's stay at the hotel is to be from December 23-26, 1992. The films are supposed to be only a year apart. In the original Home Alone, when Harry burned his palm on the red-hot doorknob, he grabbed the doorknob with his hand sideways, as if he were shaking hands with someone.
